Unsigned Mac beta

Installing the beta on your Mac.

Install this beta only if you trust LL Lab and understand that Apple has not verified it. macOS may show a security warning.

  1. Move Nudge to Applications.

Open the downloaded DMG, drag Nudge to Applications, then try opening Nudge from there.

  2. If macOS blocks opening it, review the warning.

If you are certain the app came from LL Lab and has not been altered, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and look for Open Anyway. Confirm the prompt to allow this app. This option may be unavailable on a managed Mac.

  3. Sign in and grant permissions when needed.

The beta connects to https://nudge.lllab.space. Mock interviews use your microphone; Live Assist uses screen and system audio capture. Report installation or capture problems to [email protected].

If macOS says the app will damage your computer or is damaged, stop and contact support. Follow Apple’s guidance for opening downloaded apps. Direct entire-screen overlay exclusion is unverified; Clean Desktop is a separate sharing option.

Unsigned Windows beta

Installing the beta on Windows.

Requires Windows 11 24H2 or later on an x64 PC. Install only if you trust LL Lab. This installer has no Authenticode signature.

  1. Verify the installer.

Compare its SHA-256 with the value shown above. In PowerShell, use Get-FileHash with the downloaded file and -Algorithm SHA256.

  2. Run the installer and review any warning.

Windows may report an unknown publisher or an unrecognized app. For a reputation warning, review More info and choose Run anyway only if you trust this download and Windows offers that option. Managed devices or Smart App Control may block unsigned apps. Do not disable security protections; stop if Windows identifies malware.

  3. Open Nudge from the Start menu.

The installer checks for Microsoft WebView2 and installs its runtime if missing. Sign in with your password or a configured Google or GitHub account.

  4. Choose a capture source for Live Assist.

System audio comes from your default output device; your microphone stays off. Mock interviews request microphone access separately. Clean Desktop is not included in this Windows beta. Direct entire-screen overlay exclusion is unverified.

See Microsoft’s Smart App Control guidance. Report installation or capture problems to [email protected].

Once you have the app.

  1. Install Nudge.

Open the Mac DMG and move Nudge to Applications, or run the Windows installer.

  2. Sign in to your workspace.

Published builds connect to the Nudge server. Server Settings lets you use your own deployment. Both native apps support passwords and configured Google or GitHub sign-in.

  3. Choose how you want to begin.

Mock practice uses your microphone. Live Assist requests the screen and audio permissions needed for capture.

Unsigned betas are labeled separately from validated releases and have not completed signed release validation.
